Consider me among the godless un-American atheists bent on imposing a secular tyranny upon the world. Darwin is my Jesus, and Evolution is my God. I'm being sarcastic - somewhat - but the topic of Evolution is among my favorite subjects, ranking just below the rise and fall of the American Dream.

Attending Community College is an affordable, convenient option for many students. It is a great start for people, especially those who are not sure what they want to do or where they want to go in life yet. But for those students who decide to transfer to four year schools, the three credit course system at the Mount can end up affecting students negatively.

You've got a cell phone, a computer, and wireless access to the Internet. But unless you're connected to the LaChance Library, you may not know what you're missing.

Q. Isn't everything available on the Web free? Why do we need a library?

A. College libraries are a part of the learning community.

Karen Costa, Assistant Director of Enrollment Services at MWCC, leaves little time for lounging around with her busy schedule. Costa, 30, is a wife, a mother of one, a full-time employee where she teaches one of the First Year Experience courses (FYE), and a full-time student studying to obtain her Doctorate in Education.
